Held Hostage By Apathy
Rule29 helped author Kelsey Timmerman raise awareness and money for a trip to Africa to see first hand the need in Nairobi, Kenya. As he stated on the site “I’m currently being held hostage because of my indifference to injustice in Africa. It’s not like I don’t care about it, I just haven’t cared enough to do anything about it. But that’s about to change. My publisher has taken me hostage until I can raise enough money to head to Africa and help film a truthful, dignified documentary to spark lasting change in the slums of Kenya.”
